Week 11: The haves and have nots are separating

The haves and have nots are separating. Illini and Harmony have almost played themselves out of hope of the consolation bracket. The Ogres are knockin' on the door of the playoffs and a Ghostriders lead another group with an outside shot. The Cushions had a huge blow losing AP and are the most likely to fall out of the playoffs. The Ogres are reaping the benefits as they were quick to grab Chester.

Straight Ballin' rolled over the Illini. Favre, TO, and Ray Lewis combined for 82 on the way to 123 for Ballin'. The Illini got 17 from the Giants, but with only 3 TDs they managed just 66 points.

Big Red kept pace with a 188 - 64 drubbing of the Hapless Hillbillies. 32 from Moss and 5 others in the 10+ range buried the boys from Harmony. LT, Palmer and Chris Henry played well for Harmony, but no superstars and 4 players under 3 will sink you.

The Woopiecushions are thankful this morning that Clovis didn't start a QB. They scored only 68 with the Pats D and Jamal Lewis combining for 30 of that. The Conicals needed 1.5 more to get win number 5, but Damon Huard sat on the bench (again) scoring 0. Drew Carter was a nice start for 13 and Hobbs and Bironas combined for 23 in the in loss.

Cali (BOB) also kept up with the leaders beating Reavers who had a solid day as well. Cali got 38 from Brady, but actually had 4 other players in double digits this week and he needed them, because Reavers was not going to lie down like the rest of the teams playing the top 4. Hackett, McGahee, Reed and the Raider D (go raiders) were over 10 to get Reavers to 81.

David!, the team formerly known as Spit, attempted to call on the Biblical powers from David and Goliath as they faced the Ogres, but Ogres are different from giants, so it didn't work. Instead Chester Taylor (the pick up of the week) continued where AP left off and had 27 for Obispo on their way to 92. David! is (like last year) longing for the early season success for Eli, but, alas it faded again. He managed 11 and the Colt D 10, but Plax didn't score again as the team totaled only 3 TDs for 60 points.

The Ghostriders came close to tripling the Raiders, 95-34. Romo and the Buc D had 49 themselves which was more than enough. Andre Johnson is back and TJ scored (hope his injury isn't bad) as well. For the Raiders, Peyton is NOT an every week starter anymore. Nobody had more than 9. Gates (8.7) was the only player to score a TD for the Raiders.

Don't look now, but the Scuds are on the rise. They beat the Homies 78 - 50 to extend their league leading 4th straight win. Kurt Warner had another nice game with 16. Morrison, Rams, and Shayne Graham combined for 31. Jacobs and Holmes scored TDs and even Maroney got his first TD of the year. The Homies had Ernest Graham and Josh Brown scoring 28, but McNabb... It's painful to see your QB with almost -2 and then get injured and not be able to redeem himself. The rest of the team was under 5 was well, so they didn't help the cause either.
